قسم هذا الكتاب إلى خمسة فصول، تناول الفصل التمهيدي ماهية القانون الدولي الخاص من خلال ثلاثة مباحث، وتناول المبحث الأول التعريف بالقانون الدولي الخاص ومراحل تطوره، والمبحث الثاني موضوعات القانون الدولي الخاص، والمبحث الثالث مصادر القانون الدولي الخاص، وتناول الفصل الأول قواعد تنازع القوانين (قواعد الإسناد) من خلال أربعة مباحث تناول الأول منها ماهية قواعد الإسناد والثاني نظرية التكييف، والثالث نظرية الإحالة، والرابع الإسناد إلى قانون دولة تتعدد فيها الشرائع (نظرية التفويض أو الإحالة الداخلية) أما الفصل الثاني فجاء بعنوان مركز القانون الأجنبي أمام القضاء الوطني وتناوله المؤلف من خلال ثلاثة مباحث، تناول الأول دور القاضي في تطبيق القانون الأجنبي، والثاني دور القاضي في تفسير القانون الأجنبي، والثالث دور محكمة التمييز في الرقابة على تفسير القانون الأجنبي، وفي الفصل الثالث من الكتاب تناول المؤلف من خلال ثلاثة مباحث حالات استبعاد تطبيق القانون الأجنبي الواجب التطبيق، فبحث في المبحث الأول الدفع بالنظام العام، وفي المبحث الثاني نظرية الغش نحو القانون وفي المبحث الثالث نظرية المصلحة الوطنية، وفي الفصل الرابع والأخير تناول المؤلف من خلال مبحثين الحلول الوضعية لتنازع القوانين في الأردن، فتناول في المبحث الأول الحلول الوضعية في شأن المسائل المتعلقة بالأشخاص، وفي المبحث الثاني الحلول الوضعية في شأن المسائل المتعلقة بالمعاملات المالية.
