تلملم هذه الرواية الحائزة على جائزة الأديبة "ليلى العثمان للإبداع الشبابي في السرد لعام 2006" تلملم، أرجاء ذاكرتها المتبعثرة وتبحث عن أنوثتها المتأخرة في المرايا، لكنها لا تعثر إلا على ضمور هادئ وشباب خجل طال انتظاره... في عالم ليس فيه اللانثى إلا أن تظل حبيسة دارها وأحلامها، وحيث ترتمي في حضن وحدتها بقلب ينبض خوفاً، دون هدف، ودون فكرة. تستحوذ فكرة الخوف من التقاليد على أجواء الرواية فالبطلة تفقد حبيبها حين يتزوج من أختها، التي لا تتمكن من أن تعيش معه كزوجة، وفي النهاية تقرر التضحية بسعادتها في سبيل سعادة زوجها وشقيقتها، غذ تعمل على تزويجهما، فقد كانت على علم بما يدور بينهما من علاقة محرمة كانت ثمرتها طفلاً.
ولقد ساعدت لغة الكاتبة وأسلوبها المتميز على رسم ملامح أبطال الرواية ونسج أجوائها.
