يعد هذا الكتاب "محاولة لجمع أبرز الإشكالات الثقافية التي رصدها المؤلف خلال متابعته وممارسته وقربه من الوسط الثقافي، فلعل فيها فواتح أو مفاتح، ساعياً إلى الإستدلال التراثي والمعاصر بنماذج تؤكد أن الفواصل مساحة ضوء للتعليل والتبديل والتوقف، ومع أن المساحة متماهية بين المآزق فقد اعتمد "التقسيم الإفتراضي" تيسيرا للقراءة والإستقراء لا أكثر، فالكتاب يُقرأ دون فواصل وإن وشى اسمه بها". وهكذا تجري مقالات الكاتب "التركي" كاشفة طائفة من المآزق، التي تكشف النقاب عن حال العربي، فردا، أو جماعة، وانتماء، ودين، وإيديولوجية، معرية واقعة، ومحاولة التنبيه عن مآزق لا حصر لها: مأزق الإعتراف، مأزق الأبوية، مأزق النص، مأزق الإجتزاء، مأزق التزوير، مأزق الوهم ... الخ.
