برزت في أواخر القرنين الأول للهجرة والثاني منه الزندقة، وظهرت معالم النساء في الدولة العباسية، واستحوذت المادة والشهوات على النفوس، مما أوجدت أشخاص يشعرون بالنقص وآخرين يحملون عقداً نفسيه، وأمزجة بعيدة عن روح الإسلام وتعالمه السامية، فاختلقوا بعض الأساطير والترهاتّ، وزينوا للناس هذا الانحراف حتى استطاعوا أن يكسبوا طائفة من الشيعة تسير وفق تعاليمهم وتخضع لإرادتهم، فالبعض اتبعهم لمصلحة ما، والبعض الآخر سلك معهم لضعف عقلي، أو نقص في نفسه. وفي هذا الكتاب يتناول الباحث هذه الظاهرة (الغلو) عند الشيعة وذلك من خلال دراسة تحليلية على ضوء القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية حتى يقف القارئ على الأجواء التي نشأ فيها الغلو، والعوامل المساعدة على ذلك، وموقف أهل البيت منه.
