مركز الأبحاث في الحوار المسيحي الإسلامي نواة لبحث الفكري المشترك أنشأتها جمعية الآباء البولسيين، برعاية معهد القديس بولس للفلسفة واللاهوت (حريصا)، لتعزيز الحوار الفكري الأكاديمي البحت الرامي إلى إظهار مواضع التقارب والتعاون بين المسيحية والإسلام. ولا ريب أن لهذا المركز الناشئ خصوصية تبرر قيامه وتبرزها ميزات شتى. فالمركز منعتق في بنيته الفكرية من كل ايديولوجية سياسية ومن كل تسلط خارج عن نطاق إلهامات الفكر الحر الذي يعضده روح الحق. وهو لذلك لا ينقاد إلا إلى ما يمليه عليه إيمانه المسيحي أن يختبره في أوسع مدلول له وأعمق انتشار له في مطاوي استفهامات البشر وتساؤلاتهم. والمركز متيقن أن جواهر الحقيقة والمثل العليا واحدة في مبتغى الوجود الإنساني المطلق وأن الاختلافات إنما تنجم عن انتقال الجوهر من دائرة الكلية والكمال إلى معترك الواقع المركب حيث فرادة الاختبار البشري تبرر أنماط التأويل المتباينة. وفي يقين المركز أن رعاية التباين في الإدراك البشري النسبي وفي تأسيس الممارسة على قاعدة هذا الإدراك إنما هو الميدان الأسمى لاحتضان فكر الحوار الذي ينوي المركز صياغته ونشره. ودارت حوارات في الآونة الأخيرة، وقد جمعت هذه الحوارت ضمن الكتب العشرة، حيث كانت مواضيعها كالتالي: العدل في المسيحية والإسلام، الإسلام والغرب، والإسلام والعلمانية، سلام للبشر، بين المسيحية والإسلام، الإصغاء إلى كلام الله في المسيحية والإسلام، الإسلام في عقيدته ونظامه، مقالات لاهوتية في سبيل الحوار، الرحمة الإلهية في المسيحية والإسلام، قراءة للفكر العربي الحالي، أفكار وأراء في الحوار المسيحي الإسلامي والعيش المشترك.
