تمثل المناهج التربوية لبنة مهمة في إرساء دعائم أساس لتكوين الأجيال الصاعدة عليها، وهي بذلك لا تمثل منظومة تعليمية وحسب، بل هي منهج مهم ووسيلة ممكنة لتوحيد هذه الأمة، لأنه باختصار الوسيلة الأقل تكلفة والأكثر متانة.
يندرج هذا البحث ضمن الأبحاث التربوية، فمن لعنوان "دور التربية في توحيد الأمة" يمكن أن نستشف المضمون، غذ أن هذا البحث ينطلق من مسلمة تعيشها الأمة على مستوى التقدم التقني، وتتمثل في تأخر العرب بصفة خاصة والمسلمين بصفة عام على غير صعيد مقارنة بما حولنا من أمم.
والبحث دراسة تحليلية للواقع والمحاولات الوحدوية الأخرى وأسسها ومرتكزاتها ومنطلقاتها ومدى جديتها في تحقيق كفايات الوحدة المرجوة. وهو يضم بين طياته أربعة فصول؛ تناول الفصل الأول منه مفهوم الأمة ووضعها الراهن. وجاء الفصل الثاني، ليتناول التربية وآليات الاستنهاض التربوي. أما الفصل الثالث فقد تناول أسس توحيد الأمة، إلى جانب الكفايات التربوية والتعليمية، إضافة إلى دور الإسلام كأساس في العملية التعليمية نفسها، لتكون اللغة والعناصر النفسية والحرية المدنية والشخصية هي محور هذا الفصل.
أما الفصل الرابع، فقد كانت دراسة الإعداد والمسؤولية في الخلفية التربوية محوراً منزعاً بين الحراك الاجتماعي والتخطيط التربوي ومساهمة التربية في نشر قيم إنسانية كالعدالة والمساواة والنفع العام للأفراد والمجتمع. والموضوع في حد ذاته، يتناول الدور الذي يجب أن ننطلق منه لتوحيد هذه الأمة، وبخاصة أن تربية كهذه، لا بد أن تستهدف السلوك الرسالي وغرس القيم والمبادئ التي تحتاجها أمتنا في مسيرة وحدتها.
