هذا هو الكتاب الثاني من مجموعة "دراسات في الثقافة المهدوية" وهو يتناول دراسة البشارة القرآنية النبوية بقيام "ثورة الموطئين للمهدي" في بلاد فارس. والمتأمل في النصوص المبشرة بهذه الثورة، يتأكد بأنها تتناول أهم الأحداث السياسية والعلائم الغيبية التي تسبق الظهور المقدس على الإطلاق. وذلك لأمرين مهمين: الأول: لأنها السبب المباشر لعودة الإسلام إلى قيادة الحياة السياسية لمواجهة أعدائه من جديد. الثاني: لقيامها بمهمة التمهيد للثورة الإسلامية العالمية المرتقبة.
إن أساس البحث يعتمد على إبعاد دور قانون الاستبدال الإلهي في عملية التغيير الاجتماعي والسياسي، وفي نقل مسؤولية حمل الرسالة وقيادة الأمة في صراعها مع الكفر وأوليائه. وتعتبر النصوص القرآنية والنبوية رفض الخلافة الإلهية من أهم عوامل الاستبدال السلبية التي تحتم وقوعه، لأنه العامل المباشر لاختلاف الأمة بعد نبيها وتمزقها وضعفها أمام أعدائها.
ومن هذا المنطلق أدلى المؤلف "مهدي الفتلاوي" قضية الخلافة الإلهية اهتماماً كبيراً في البحث، مسهباً في إيضاحها ودراسة الظروف التاريخية السلبية التي أحاطت بها، باعتبارها أهم عوامل قانون الاستبدال الإلهي ببُعديْه السلبي والإيجابي. يتألف الكتاب من مدخل وثلاثة فصول. تعرض المدخل لمنهج البحث مع تقديم فكرة عامة عن قانون الاستبدال. أما الفصل الأول فخصص لتفسير أهم وأكبر نص قرآني تعرض لقانون الاستبدال وعوامله، وتطرق للتغيرات السياسية والاجتماعية التي تحتم تحققه في تاريخ الأمة، أما الفصل الثاني فقد تصدى لدراسة نصوص الاستبدال في السنة النبوية، وقدم تصوراً إجمالياً لماضي وحاضر المجتمعين-المستبدل والبديل، لتسليط الأضواء على عوامل الاستبدال في مجالها التطبيقي من تاريخ الأمة الإسلامية. وفي الفصل الثالث: تمت مواكبة ثورة الموطئين في ضوء البشارة النبوية التي وصفتها بدقة منذ انطلاقتها من ظهور قائدها المرتقب وتسليم رايتها له، وتناول هذا الفصل أيضاً عدداً من الأبحاث التي لها علاقة مباشرة بموضوع الكتاب، مثل تقييم أخبار الموطئين من حيث الدلالة والسند...
