عقب تبدَّد العاصفة تظهر الخسائر، ويبقى الكثير من الأشياء معلّقاً حتى إشعار آخر.
تراءى لكلّ منهما أن الآخر قد حفر جرحاً عميقاً في جلده، ونخر عظمه، وترك آثاراً لن تمحى أو تضمحلّ سوى بالحبّ الحقيقي غير المشروط إن توفّر، مع الأخذ بعين الإعتبار أنّه أصبح عملة نادرة جداً لا يتداولها سوى قلّة قليلة من النّاس، وكلٌّ ضرب عرض الحائط إنتماء، أهواء ومزاج الآخر، كلّ شيء يجري ويجري دون توقّف كماء النهار، وهكذا علاقتهما تجري نحو مستقرّ لها.
تقنَّنَ الكلام وأصبح الصّمت من الذّهب، وبدل أن يتعانقا ويقهرا ظلام الليل، ليلهم الدّامس، تمدّدا متباعديّن على السرير ينبض مهشّم، أغمضا عيونهما بعد أن أنهكهما غبار العاصفة، وكلّ دفن رأسه في الوسادة وانتحب، بالأمس كانا في عزّ السعادة بقلبين متعاطفين، والآن يرقدان على السرير كميت جنب ميت.
هل يتهاوى زواجهما أمام أوّل عثرة، وتبتر أحلامهما أمام تلك الهواجس التي حاصرتها؟ أو إنّ أملاً مباغتاً سيوقظ الحب الذي أخذ قيلولة بعدما هبّت ريح في وجهه؟.
لم يناما ملء جفونهما، بل ناما ملء الحزن والقهر، في الصباح بدأت خيوط الشمس ترسم إشعاعات النهار، وخيّم في البيت هدوء حذر تتخلّله بعض المناوشات الحركية، فأطلقا وابلاً من الإيماءات اللاّشفهية، ملعقة تضرب صحناً، كوب قهوة يصفع الطاولة، كأنّهما لم يجدا في باطنهما بديلاً عنها كتفجير لطاقة السّخط المنضغطة في صدريهما.
وبعد حوالي ثلاث ساعات من الصمت المطبق، التفت إليها، وكانت نظراتها تتردّد بين كوب القهوة في يدها والطاولة التي تضعه عليها، كأنّها محاصرة في حيّز ضيّق لا يتعدّى الطاولة والكنبة الصغيرة.
"فرح، يجب أن نجد حلّاً لزواجنا".
