هذا المجلد يضم جزئين شرحاً لمعاني كلمات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم-الجوامع، وما تتضمنه من الآداب والحكم والمعارف والأحكام والشرائع، حيث يشير المؤلف إشارة لطيفة قبل الكلام في شرح الحديث إلى إسناده، ليعلم بذلك صحته وقوته وضعفه، ويذكر بعض ما روي في معناه من الأحاديث إن كان في ذلك الباب شيء غير الحديث الذي ذكره الشيخ النوري، وإن لم يكن في الباب غيره، أو لم يكن يصح غيره. نبه على ذلك كله، مع إيراده في أواخر شروح الحديث نقولاً متنوعة للحكماء والزهاد، وعقلاء الصوفية تناسب موضوع الحديث. وغرض المؤلف من هذا الشرح هو إصلاح العقيدة، وتقويم السلوك، لذا جاء أسلوبه في عرض أفكاره مائلاً للحقائق الموضوعية والنصوص الصحيحة.
