ضوء الصباح يغمر المدى، الجو صحو، والسماء عميقة الزرقة، وهو يجلس على كرسيه، الكرسي أعلى الجبل امتدت يده الى عمق البحر، قطع صخرة طولها كقامة رجل عملاق أسماها الخلقين.
أمعن النظر في صفحة الماء الرائق، رأى شكلاً يشابهه، رفع قبضة من تراب ورمل وكلس، مزجها بماء البحر، ثم صنع شكلاً كما الصورة التي رآها في الماء، نفخ فيه فيضاً من نوره رفعه ثم عمده بماء البحر، هزّه بين يديه، اصطحب البحر، علت أمواجه، بكاء المخلوق الجديد يتصاعد مع هدير الأمواج، قذفه في الماء، وتركه يتعلم السباحة والحياة.
