إن علم قواعد الفقه عميم نفعه ، كثيرة فوائده ، به تُعرف الأشباه والنظائر ، وتحفظ الفروع المختلفة العبائر ، وتنتظم الدر المتناثر ، فينتفع به أهل البصائر ؛ لأن جمع المتفرقات في قانون متحد أدعى لحفظه وضبطه . وقد أولى العلماء هذا الفن عناية فائقة ؛ جمعاً وترتيباً ، وتصنيفاً وتأليفاً ، فسطروا فيه كتباً على اختلاف مذاهبهم ، فألف الإمام ابن نجيم رحمه الله « الأشباه والنظائر » في الفقه الحنفي ، وألف الإمام السيوطي مثله في الفقه الشافعي ، وألف العلامة ابن اللحام « القواعد والفوائد » في الفقه الحنبلي ، وألف الإمام القرافي « الفروق » في الفقه المالكي ، وتتابعت المؤلفات تترى . ومن تلك الكتب الجامعة النافعة : كتاب « إيضاح المسالك إلى قواعد الإمام مالك » للعلامة الإمام الونشريسي رحمه الله تعالى ، وهو كتاب وعر المسالك صعب المرتقى ، يُغر القارئ للوهلة الأولى بعنوانه ، فيظنه سهلاً ـ كما صرح بذلك محقق الكتاب ـ وما إن يدخل في خضمه . . حتى يصل إلى القواعد الفقهية التي بلغ بعضها حد الإعجاز ، وما تضمنته أقرب ما يكون إلى الرموز والألغاز . لقد أشفق محقق الكتاب على القارئ الكريم من غزارة المعلومات المتدفقة بعبارات فقهية متخصصة غاية في الصعوبة ؛ مما جعل العلامة الشيخ إبراهيم بن شعيب يشمر عن ساعد الجد ويقرأ الكتاب بعباراته مرات متعددة ، ثم يختصره ويقربه ؛ ليسهل على المبتدئين وصغار الطلبة الانتفاع به . إن مؤلف الكتاب حاول أن يستوعب ويستقرئ كل المسائل والصور التي تندرج تحت قاعدة ما ، وبالأخص المسائل الفقهية الخلافية منها بعبارة رصينة مختصرة ، فقام بانتقاء مثال أو مثالين أو أكثر إن دعت الضرورة لإيضاح كل قاعدة ، مع نقل لشيء من كلام محقق كتاب الأصل ؛ لما فيها من اليسر والسهولة والبيان ، والتدخل أحياناً بشرح بعض الكلمات ، وإيضاح بعض العبارات . فغدا هذا المؤلَّف كأنه رشفة من معين ذلك الكتاب ؛ مما حدا بمؤلفه أن يسميه : « الارتشاف من إيضاح قواعد الخلاف » لعله يكون بمثابة المفتاح للدخول على أصل هذا الكتاب .
