فكانت طفولته عليه السلام يغمرها الإسلام، ويثقلها الإسلام، إذ أن الإرادة الإلهية شاءت أن ينشأ أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام في بيت النبوة، ليحوز على أخلاق وآداب الإسلام، وليكون بذلك القدوة الحسنة في الإيمان والخلق والأدب والشجاعة، حتى بات عليه السلام مرآة تنعكس فيها كل الصفات الجليلة.
