منذ أن أصدرنا سلسلة كتبنا في اللاهوت المسيحي والإنسان المعاصر، في أجزائها الخمسة (من سنة 1984 إلى سنة 1993)، نشرنا في مختلف المجالات مقالات عديدة، عالجنا فيها مواضيع متنوّعة في شتى حقول اللاهوت، والأخلاق والحياة المسيحية. وقد جرت بين المسيحيين من مختلف الكنائس مؤتمرات في مختلف المجلاّت مقالات عديدة، عالجنا فيها مواضيع متنوّعة في شتّى حقول اللاهوت والأخلاق والحياة المسيحية. وقد جرت بين المسيحيين في مختلف الكنائس مؤتمرات في مختلف المواضيع المسكونية، كانت لنا مداخلات فيها. فرأينا من المناسب جمع هذه المقالات والمداخلات بين دفتي كتاب واحد يشكّل ملحقاً للكتب الخمسة الأولى. فجمعنا بعض هذه المقالات في جزء أول نشرناه في هذه السلسلة "الفكر المسيحي بين الأمس واليوم" رقم 25، بعنوان "مقالات في اللاهوت والحركة المسكونية". وها نحن في هذا الجزء الثاني ننشر المقالات الأخرى بعنوان مقالات في الأخلاق والحياة المسيحية. إنّ الفكر اللاهوتي هو فكر حيّ يتفاعل مع محيطه ويسعى إلى الإجابة عن المسائل الجديدة التي تطرأ على الإنسان المعاصر. فالتيارات الجديدة في الفكر الإنساني والحوار بين المسيحيين وبين جميع الأديان، كل هذه الأمور تطرح ذاتها على اللاهوتي، وعليه أن يقدّم للمسيحيين، من كهنة وعلمانييّن، ما يساعدهم على مواكبة الأحداث المتبدّلة بإيمان راسخ وعقل منفتح.
