من خلال عمل الباحث "حسن موسى الصفار" الديني الاجتماعين ,الذي يرتبط جانب منه بقضايا الأسرة، كالمساعدة في موضوع الزواج، وإجراء النكاح، وإيقاع الطلاق، والسعي لإصلاح ذات البين، ومعالجة المشاكل العائلية، ومتابعة الشأن التربوي والانفتاح على الشباب، ورصد علاقتهم بأهاليهم...
من خلال ذلك لاحظ المؤلف تقصاً وفراغاً كبيراً في وعي الجمهور ومعرفتهم، بتعاليك الإسلام وأحكامه في هذه الأبعاد، مما يتيح المجال واسعاً للتلقي في وسائل الإعلام التي تروح لأنماط الحياة الغربية المادية، أو الاسترسال مع العادات والتقاليد السائدة، والتي قد لا تكون متوافقة مع رأي الدين ورؤيته. مما دفعه لدراسة قضايا الأسرة في الفقه الإسلامي وتقديم بحوثها للجمهور، وخاصة الشريحة المثقفة، بلغة علمية عصرية واضحة، تلامس الواقع الاجتماعي، وتقارب همومه ومشاكله.
وهكذا قام بإعداد دراساته هذه التي بين أيدينا والتي التزم فيها منهجية الفقه المقارن، بعرض آراء مختلف المذاهب الإسلامية التي استقاها من المصادر المعتمدة لكل مذهب، ومن الموسوعات الفقهية المعروفة، وحرص على توثيق كل رأي وإرجاعه إلى مصدره. ومع أن المادة الفقهية هي محور دراسة، إلا أنه كان يجتهد في مقاربة الشأن الاجتماعي، انطلاقاً من مركزية الأسرة في نظام الاجتماع الإسلامي، وقد يذكر بعض الشواهد والقضايا من واقع المحيط الاجتماعي الذي يعيشه، لإعطاء الفكرة حيوية ميدانية.
أما الخطة التي اعتمدها فترتكز على تقسيمه فصول دراسته إلى ثمانية فصول، تحدث فيها كما يلي من الموضوعات: الفصل الأول: الزواج أغراضه وأحكامه، الفصل الثاني: أهلية الزوجين، الفصل الثالث: محل العقد، الفصل الرابع: اختيار الزوج، الفصل الخامس: عقد الزواج، الفصل السادس: بين العقد والدخول، الفصل السابع: الحقوق الزوجية، الفصل الثامن: في العلاقات الزوجية.
