مواليد مخيم عقبة جبر للاجئين الفلسطينيين قرب مدينة أريحا في فلسطين.
أنهى دراسته الابتدائية الأولي في المخيم وفي مدينة أريحا ثم أكمل الثانوية في عمان.التحق بمعهد المعلمين وعمل مدرسا لأربع سنوات وانتقل بعدها للعمل في مجال الفن وتصميم الغريفي لأكثر من عشرين سنة..
عاش في مخيم حتى سن الخامسة عشرة ثم رحل إلى عمان بعد حرب حزيران 1967 .
عاد إلى فلسطين في العام 1999 ومكث فيها خمس عشرة سنة عاد خلالها للدراسة الجامعية فحصل على بكالوريوس اللغة العربية من جامعة القدس المفتوحة وعلى الماجستير في التاريخ الإسلامي من جامعة بيرزيت ثم التحق بالجامعة الوطنية الماليزية ليحصل على الدكتوراه في الدراسات العربية والحضارة الإسلامية وكان موضوع أطروحته حول فلسفة الجمال في نقوش قبة الصخرة وخارجها.
يعمل الآن أستاذا في قسم التصميم الداخلي في كلية الآداب والفنون في جامعة فيلادلفيا في عمان..أصدر عبر مسيرته عشرة كتب كما يلي: 1.
