محمد علي كمال الدين الحسيني (1900 - 1966) صحفي وأديب وتربوي وكاتب عراقي.
مؤلفاته
ولد محمد علي عيسى آل كمال الدين الحسيني في النجف سنة 1900 في عائلة شريفة. درس على والده وغيره من العلماء وتفرّغ لدراسة العربية والمنطق.
إشترك شاباً في ثورة سنة 1920 فكان من محرري جريدة الاستقلال و الفرات. التحق بدار المعلمين الابتدائية في بغداد عام 1921 وعيّن بعد تجرّجه معلماً في المدارس الابتدائية فمدير مدرسة فمدرساً في المدارس الثانوية فملاحظاً لمجلة المعلم الجديد حتى تقاعد سنة 1959 وتوفي ببغداد سنة 1966.

من جملة ما حصل عليه المتحف الوثائقي لثورة العشرين في النجف، مسودات كتاب (النجف في ربع قرن) تأليف "محمد علي كمال الدين، أحد رجال السياسة والفكر في العراق خلال فترة الاحتلال البريطاني وما بعدها. وقد تقدم بإهدائها مع مجموعة من أوراقه ومقالاته المنشورة في الصحف والمجلات، ولده "عبد الكريم كمال الدين.
وقد كتبت هذه المسودات بدفاتر وأوراق مختلفة الأحجام والأقلام وأحبار مختلفة، وكثر فيها الحذف والتعديل، إنها كانت مهمة فيما تحمل بين ثناياها من معلومات شاب عاصر الكثير منها، وتنبهات أديب كان في طليعة الشباب الواعي الذين كان لهم دور مهم في الأحداث السياسية لا سيما في الثورة العراقية الكبرى 1920، خصوصاً في الجانب الأدبي والإعلامي.
وبالنظر لما تقدمه هذه الأوراق من معلومات فقد قام كامل سلمان الجبوري بتوحيد معلومات تلك الأوراق والمسودات بنسخها المتعددة، وأوراقها المتناثرة، مثبتاً لنصوصها كما هي، محافظاً على الأمانة العلمية والتاريخية، بالرغم من أن ما تضمنته من آراء قد لا تمثل إلا وجهة النظر الشخصية لكاتبها، وعلق على بعض الأمور التي يجب الوقوف عندها.
وقد عزز الكتاب ببعض الصور الفوتوغرافية النادرة والوثائق التي يحتاجها الموضوع.
كما ألحق بالكتاب نصين مهمين أشار إليهما في ثنايا الكتاب وهما: 1-منهاج الرشاد لمن أراد السداد: للشيخ جعفر كاشف الغطاء. 2-تنبيه الأمة وتنزيه الملّة: للشيخ محمد حسين النائيني.
