"أحبائي" : صوركم تعشش في ذاكرتي دوماً / تأبى مفارقتها، / والروح أبداً تهفو إليها / صورَكم، وما أكثرها، / تأبى إلا أن تسكنني / شئت أم لم أشأ / تبدو أحياناً باهتة، / وفي أحايين / تلوحُ مشرقة / تُرى ، يا ترى .../ لمَ ترحل الصور الجميلة سريعاً؟ (...)".
من هذه التحية التي ترسلها نيران السامرائي لأحبائها في الوطن، يستشعر القارئ اعتزاز الشاعرة بوطنها، فتكتبه معزوفة زاخرة بكل أنواع الحب والحنين، وهي بذلك تلخص حال أبناء العراق بين تيه الأخوة الغائبة، وتيه المحاولة لمستمرة للشاعرة في البحث عن الوطن الغائب، لبعثه من جديد، وإن كان على الورق، فتتماوج الأشياء والذكريات؛ متسربلة من غبار الزمان والمكان، إلى مدى رحب متعدد الدلالات، تحقق عبره الكتابة وجودها ومعنى هذا الوجود داخل النص وخارجه أيضاً.
لقد كتبت نيران السامرائي "أحبائي" لتحاكي قصة الإنسان العراقي من الحضور إلى الغياب، ومن الوجود إلى الشتات، فرسمت بحروفها وكلماتها متاهات الماضي، وعبثية الحاضر وكأن التاريخ يعيد نفسه ولم يستفد أحد من دروس الماضي، وهي كتابة تحيل إلى رؤية تأملية واقعية، طرحتها الكاتبة، على طريقتها، وبلغتها، ونجحت ىفي أن توقظ الرغبة في القراءة، واستطراداً في الكتابة.
