يضم هذا الكتاب مجموعة نصوص، قطفت على مدى عشرين عاماً، بين نشرها الأول وهذا ما أضيف إليها، رحلة شائكة، وحياة متعثرة، وعراك مباشر بين الوطن والمنفى. قياماتٌ وموتٌ حرّ، وأرواح أطفأت قبل مواعيدها، دماء تبدّلت، وأنياب طالت، مباراة نهائية بين الحلم والوهم، وشياطين تخطط لنا الخرائط. رحيل أحبّة أستحضر بعضهم مع قراءة جديدة لمحتوى هذا الكتاب بما يشبه الوصيّة الشخصيّة. أمّي، أبي الذي توفي وهو يفتش عني في منفاي يوم صدور الطبعة الأولى 6/4/2003، عبد الخالق المختار خليّ وصاحبي الذي قرأ بصوته هذه النصوص واحتفظ بمسودّات قسم منها فأعيدت إليّ مع نظكارته وساعته اليدوية التي ما تزال عقاربها تدور. كمال سبتي الذي أتّهم الشعر بقتله. القديسة فاطمة التي طمع الله بها وبتوأمها قبل أن تراهم، علي بصيص الذي عض المسرح بأسنانه حتى آخر حياته. وليد حسن الذي يقاوم نسيانه، أبو أيوب الذي يصعب تخيله في الآخرة، طالب القره غولي الذي لحّن الموت أخيرا، كاظم الركبي العذب مثل ريف، عزيز عبد الصاحب الكاهن، تيسير كاملة الأب الذي نقل مختارات مني للإنجليزية، قاسم مطرود الذي كنت آخر من صافحه حاملاً ورودي معه إلى جنته، أحمد النواس الذي غادرني فجأة مثل عبوة تركت شظايا في الذاكرة، وجدان، أمّنا وهي تصْغرُنا، وحارسة عذاباتنا. ولد لي لم أره. ناسٌ أحبهم وأخفي أسماءهم. وأعتذر للقارئ الذي يتصفح أسرار ومواقف مارستها بإباحية مفرطة لكنها تأتيه على متن مناورة شعرية، أنا أتنفس وهو يختنق.
