للشمس تقويم دقيق وصحيح، تعتمده شعوب كثيرة، وللقمر كذلك تقويمه الذي تتبعه شعوب أخرى. للشمس والقمر مساراتٌ علم الناس منها عدد السنين والحساب بدلالة ظهورهما في الليل والنهار. إلا أن البشرية تخلّت طويلًا عن التقويم الأرضي، الذي ورد مفصّلا للبشرية، ويمكن للمناسبة فيه أن تتكرّر في ذات اليوم والتاريخ في أي سنة دون تفاوت ﴿إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ﴾ التوبة (36)، واتبعتْ تقويمي الشمس والقمر، اللذين يمكن أن يؤثِّرا على مسار التاريخ الخاص بالشعوب ﴿وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ﴾ فصِّلت (37).
يُقدِّم هذا الكتاب شرحًا وافيًا عن تقويم تاريخ البشرية (التقويم الأرضي)، ويهدف إلى تقريب البشرية حول هدى الله قانونًا تامًا، إيحاءً بالسلام المنشود، ونبذًا لغواية إبليس.
