الكتاب مليء بمواضيع وطنية متعددة تحث على الكفاح والجهاد بأسلوب متطور وبمنحى صادق. كما أنه مليء بالحكم المختلفة بالإضافة إلى الغزليات والقصص المواضيع الاجتماعية وهو مليء بخيالات متعددة أمتاحها الشاعر واستخرجها من مخيلته الوقادة ليصنع منها قوالب رائعة ضمن القصائد المتعددة، ومطالعة الكتاب وقراءته عدة مرات هي الحكم الأول له إذ أن القارئ في كل مرة يكتشف أشياء جديدة عن القراءة السابقة بسبب تزاحم الصور والأفكار.
