ما يميَز الكتاب أن مؤلفه يعرض رأي الفريقيين من أهل الحديث والمؤرخين في حادثة الطف، واتجاهاتهما فيناقش، ويحلل، ويستنتج بعيداً عن الغلو والانتصار لفريق دون آخر، ولكنه يعود ويتبنى النظرية التي تقول (أن التخطيط للواقعة إلهي) بالإعتماد على نصوص أئمة أهل البيت عليهم السلام، والأحاديث المتواترة عن النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وأمير المؤمنين التي قالت بنقتل الإمام الحسين رضي الله عنه، ويتضح ذلك بالرجوع لمصادر الحديث والتاريخ التي توقعت الفاجعة قبل وقوعها...
