خلال ممارسة المؤلف للمهنة الطبية شاهد الكثير من الرجال مكتملي النمو الجنسي في العشرينات والثلاثينات من أعمارهم كانوا يأتون إلى عيادته جزعين لأن الأعضاء التناسلية لديهم قد تشكلت على نحو ليس كما كانوا يرغبون وكانت اعتقاداتهم مبنية على القصص العاطفية والأفلام الجنسية، وعلى الرغم من التهدئة والتطمين وطرح الشكوك حول مقومات السلوك الجنسي العادي الذي يتجه لتوعية هذه النوعية من الرجال فإن كثيراً من الحالات كان يعتريها القلق العميق والجزع من المستقبل الجنسي بعد الزواج بالإضافة إلى تشويه الصورة المطبوعة في أعماق الرجل حول نفسه بتأثير الخرافات والأساطير حول هذا الموضوع بدلاً من التبحر في المعرفة والثقافة الجنسية. و
يعود الفقر في المعلومات العامة حول الأعضاء الجنسية إلى ندرة المادة المكتوبة حول موضوع الصحة والثقافة الجنسية. وقد نقرأ بحثاً حول الصحة أو كتاباً عن الرجال في المكتبة العادية يتعلق بالحمية، التمرين الكوليسترول وتأثيره على القلب، لكننا لا نجد حتى كتاباً واحداً عن الأعضاء التناسلية والتعرف على الذكورة عن قرب. ولتغطية هذه الثغرة جاء الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا والذي جمع الصحة الجنسية للطبيب والمريض، وحلول الأعضاء الجنسية عند الرجل، والتناسل الجنسي، وذلك بأسلوب علمي بعيد عن الخرافات ومزود بالعديد من الأمثلة الواقعية والتي عالجها المؤلف خلال ممارسته في الحقل الطبي.
وحتى يغطي المؤلف كافة جوانب موضوعه قام بتقسيم بحثه على فصلين: وصف في أولهما الأحداث العادية داخل الرحم والتي تسبب ولادة الجنين ذكراً، واتبعه بذكر مراحل نموه داخل الرحم، وبشرح لعملية التناسل الذكري والتبول. أما الفصل الثاني فكرسه للمشاكل الجنسية وعلاجها كالعنة الجنسية "العجز الجنسي" مشكلة عدم الخصوبة ومشكلة البروستات أو التبول.
