الحقُ إنّ الدين كان وما يزال موضوعاً مثيراً للتفلسف، أعني للنظر العقلي، وسيبقى كما يقول المؤلف "واحداً من أكثر فضاءات الفلسفة أهمية وإثارة للجدل والحساسية". وقد كان المؤلف جديراً عندما بدأ بحثه في بيان العلاقة بين الدين والميتافيزيقا وأنهى بحثه في توكيد هذه العلاقة الحميمة و"الميتافيزيقا" والفلسفة بوجه عام - كما يقول - كان مبعثهما، على الأغلب، الوازع الديني".
لعل في ذلك دعوة للإهتمام، نقلاً أو تأليفاً أو قراءةً، بهذا الفضاء الحيوي المثير راهناً من فضاءات العقل وهو يفكر ومنها هذا الكتاب بنصوصه، ولست أرى من الحكمة بشيء أن يضع المرء نفسه، في هذا الحال، مفسراً أو متمذهباً بين النصوص التي إختارها المؤلف وبين القارئ فيكون بهذا عائقاً لوعي القارئ الذي يجب أن يترك حُرّاً في مواجهة النصوص.
أمّا ما ورد من آراء للمؤلف نفسه تتطلب إيضاحاً أو تعليقاً، أو تستحق نقداً أو رداً بالضرورة فسيجد القارئ ذلك في هوامش خاصة على المتن، وكل أملنا في أن يجد القارئ العام والطالب المختص، في هذا الكتاب، زاداً معرفياً يرتقي إلى مرتبة الضرورة.
