عبد الله بن عمر سيد من سادات الصحابة الكرام رضي الله عنهم أجمعين، وعلم من أعلام المسلمين على مر السنين.
فتح عينيه على الإسلام، واعتنقه وهو غلام، وجاهد في سبيله مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم وقف عمره بعد النبي لهذا الدين وفي سبيله.
نشأ شاباً صالحاً بشهادة الصادق المصدوق صلى الله عليه وسلم، واكتهل على الصلاح والتقوى، وشاخ على أتم هذا الخلق وأحسنه، وانتقل إلى جوار ربه وما في الأرض مثيل له.
تميز بين أقرانه من شباب الصحابة بميزات عظيمة، كان أبرزها: التأسي الكامل الدقيق برسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، والإقبال على العبادة والإجتهاد فيها، والخوف العظيم من الله عزّ وجلّ، والزهادة في الدنيا والإقبال على الآخرة، والإبتعاد عن مواطن الفتن والخلاف، إلى جانب جود وكرم، وعلم جم، وتواضع وحسن خلق.
وهذا الكتاب في سيرة هذا الصحابي الجليل، أتى على حياته المباركة، فعرضها خطوة فخطوة، وجلَّى مراحلها كأحسن ما يكون، ثم أتى على معالم شخصيته وصفاته فأوضحها وكشف عن صفاتها وروعتها وجلالها، وتم للمؤلف بذلك في ابن عمر سيرة زكية، واضحة، رائعة، فيها النفع الكبير إن شاء الله.
