إن الإهتمام بدراسة الطفل أمر واجب على الآباء والمربين، ويعد هذا الكتاب توجيهاً إلى الآباء والأمهات، لأنه قد يساعدهم على معرفة بعض الجوانب النفسية الغامضة التي قد تعتري حياة أطفالهم في مراحل مبكرة من أعمارهم، ولأنه في حال عدم إكتشافها يمكن أن يحدث تفاقم للأعراض النفسية عند أولادهم والتي يمكن أن تتجسد فيما بعد وذلك بشكل تدريجي إلى إضطرابات عفوية من هضمية وعصبية ونفسية، ومشكلات الأطفال النفسية هي متعددة ومتنوعة، وهي من أصعب المشكلات علاجاً، لأن المعالجة الصحيحة لا تعتمد على العقاقير الطبية بل على معالجة أكثر الجوانب النفسية التي تنتج عنها تلك الأعراض العضوية، ومن ثم يمكن الوصول إلى سعادة الطفل وسعادة العائلة، بعد إكتشاف أكثر أسرار الحالات النفسية التي يمكن أن يعانيها الطفل خلال فترة تطوره الجسدي والنفسي على السواء، لذلك حاول المؤلف أن يركز على الجوانب الوقائية في مشكلات الأطفال التي تم التطرق إليها.
