Book Description
للحافظ العلَّامة أبي بكر بن أبي الدنيا كتابٌ نادر بعنوان "الرهبان"، جمعَ فيه أقوالهم وحكاياتهم الغابرة، ممتدَّةً إلى القرون الثلاثة الأولى من تاريخ الإسلام. ولا يُعرَفُ لهذا الكتاب خبر، فقد فُقد مع غيره من الكتب الرائعة الهادفة.
ومن الجميل أن يُعثَرَ على ملخَّص له، أو مختارات منه، في نسخة وحيدة محفوظة بالهند، نشرها أحدُ المهتمّين بالمخطوطات في مجلة منذ حوالي نصف قرن، وهي بعنوان"المنتقى من كتاب الرهبان".
وكان العثور عليه مدعاةً لإخراجه من جديد؛ ليكون بين يدي القراء في شكل كتاب، بعد أن كان في بطن مجلة قديمة، غير معروفة لدى القّراء، وهي مجلة "معهد الدراسات الشرقية للآباء الدومينكان"، وقد كتب له صلاح الدين المنجد مقدّمة بالفرنسية.
وقد اكتفى بنقل فقراته، دون توثيق أو تعليق، وتركَ فراغات في نصوص منها تدلُّ على كلمات مطموسة أو تعذَّر قراءتها. فوثَّقتُ ما عثرتُ عليه منها، وملأتُ فراغات منها.
وقد جعلتُ له ملحقاً يتضمَّنُ ما عثرتُ عليه من أخبار أخرى عن الرهبان مما رواهُ ابنُ أبي الدنيا. ومستدركاً عليه بلغَ أضعافَ فقراته، أوَّله في ذكر الرهبنة والرهبان في القرآن الكريم، ثم في السنَّة والسيرة، ثم أخبارٌ ماضيةً عنهم، وأخيراً أقوالهم ولقاءاتهم فيما بعد، مما يساعدُ على تكوين صورة متكاملة عن هذا الموضوع، مما وردَ في تراثنا الإسلامي.
