الناس على اختلاف أعراقهم ما زالوا يتوقون للبحث عن خفايا النفس البشرية، ويحاولون استنطاقها بجميع الوسائل حتى في علم الفراسة.
إن علم الفراسة يضع القواعد العامة أو دستور الوجه الذي يحدد معالم الشخصية، بناءً على مواصفات كل عضو من أعضاء الوجه، فأعضاء الوجه تقول كلماتها ببلاغة تكاد تفوق أحياناً الكلمات المنطوقة نفسها، وعلماء النفس والسلوك البشري يرون أن اللغة التي تنطق بها هذه الحواس والأعضاء هي اللغة الأكثر صدقاً وعفوية وتعبيراً عن مكنونات النفس.
علم الفراسة ليس تلاعباً بقراءة أعضاء وخطوط الوجه وتقاطيعه. الفراسة تشير إلى حقائق لن نجد لها نظير.
إن علم الفراسة هو قراءة الوجه وقراءة الكف، وهناك تقارب شديد في قراءة الوجه والكف، حتى أنها قد تكون متطابقة مئة بالمئة والحديث عنهما طويل ومشوق يستغرق منا كل الاهتمام، فبين لحظة وأخرى يطلب الكثيرون قراءة وجوههم أو أكفهم، وقد تلاحظ التأثير العجيب على تعابير الوجه في جميع أشكاله، فالشخص يجلس وينصت باهتمام وتركيز لكل ما يقال له، وهو يهز رأسه موافقاً ومؤيداً لما يقال، لأنه يعلم أن معالم المستقبل في الوجه كما في اليدين، حتى ولو حاول أخذها من باب التسلية، فهي تترك في نفسه أثراً ما ولو أنكر ذلك.
إن الوجه مثل اليدين يعبر عن الشخصية، وفي بعض البلاد بعد الموت تؤخذ صورة الوجه واليدين. الوجه يحلل ويصف الصفات، حتى إن كثيراً من الرسامين سألوا أنفسهم بواسطة الوجه ورسموا رسمهم الشخصي. أما علامات الشيخوخة، فتظهر على الوجه كما على اليدين.
فراسة الوجه لم تعد لغزاً غامضاًن لقد أصبحت الآن بين يدي القارئ لذلك لن يقع في حيرة، انطلاقاً من هذا الكتاب أصبح بإمكانه الفهم والإطلاع على ما يجهله في علم الفراسة "فراسة الوجه-أو قراءة الوجه".
