تحت عنوان "الرسوم التوضيحية اليدوية وتقنياتها" أعدت الأستاذة سهاد حمدان حميدان هذا الكتاب بالإعتماد على الخطط الجديدة لجامعة البلقاء التطبيقية لتخصص التصميم الجرافيكي.
قسمت المؤلفة عملها إلى سبعة وحدات، تضمنت كل وحدة نوعاً من أنواع الرسم الجرافيكي وخطوات التصميم، والتوجيهات اللازمة لتنفيذ كل عملية مع رسوم توضيحية لكل شكل. وعلى هذا، بدأت المؤلفة بأساسيات الرسم الأولية (تأثير الظل والنور) وأصول الرسم وطريقة القياس؛ مروراً برسم الأشكال الهندسية، ورسم الطبيعة الصامتة ورسم جسم الإنسان، والرسوم المتحركة، ومشاهد الحركة الحقيقية التي يتم تصويرها في السينما؛ ثم تنتقل إلى "أسس التصميم" وعناصر العمل الفني: الإتزان وأنواعه، الإيقاع (التناغم) وأنواعه، التركيز، الوحدة، والسيادة. ثم التعبير عن الكلمات بالرسم. وأخيراً وحدة خاصة حول (تقنيات الرسم المختلفة) ومنها الرسم بالفحم، والرسم بأقلام الرصاص، والرسم بالألوان المائية، مع تمرينات وصور لكل تقنية مستخدمة ...
