شرك الدم معركة و مجزرة: كشف الكاتب الإسرائيلي ثيودور تيدي كاتس, في بحث تقدم به لنيل درجة الماجستير سنة1999, عن مجزرة الطنطورة في قضاء مدينة حيفا, و التي نفذتها قوات الهاغاناه في ليلة 1948/5/23. لكن كاتس, أسوة بسابقه بني موريس, و غيره من المؤرخين الجدد في إسرائيل, لا يذهب بعيداً في نقده إلى حد وضع الأمور في نصابها. فهو نفى أن يكون ما جرى في الطنطورة نتيجة مخطط مسبق, أو جزءاً من سياسة عامة, أو أنه أحيط بالكتمان بصورة تآمرية و يقول: لا مؤامرة و لا سكوت و لا محاولة إسكات. يبين الكتاب شرك الدم حقيقة ما جرى في الطنطورة, و يكشف عن خلفياتها الحقيقية, و يدحض إدعاءات كاتس حول المسؤولية في المجزرة. و من خلال الشهادات التي أدلى بها شهود عيان من أبناء الطنطورة المقيمين في سوريا, سيتعرف القارئ إلى تجليات العنصرية الصهيونية منذ عام 1948, و أساليب التزييف للحقائق في المدونات الرسمية للدولة العبرية.
