في هذا العمل يجهد الدكتور "حسن جابر" إلى مقاربة "منظومة الردع في القرآن الكريم عبر بلورة تصوّر نظري عن أمة هي، في المنطق القرآني، غاية الوجود وجوهر الخلق، وهو في طريقه إلى بيان عوالم القوة. لا يكتفي بجمع النصوص التي تلزم المؤمنين بإيجاد أدوات الردع، وإنتما يبحث عن عناصر أخرى تحدث عنها القرآن الكريم تتكفل في إحداث التوازن وترجيح كفة القوة لصالح المؤمنين عبر ثلاثة فصول يكمّل بعضها بعضاً؛ فواحد منها خصص لبيان المنهج المعتمد وآليات اشتغاله العملية أطلق عليه اسم "المنهج المنظومي"، الذي يختلف عن سواه في قدرته على استنفاذ مختلف إمكانيات المعنى المذخورة في دلالات النص. أما في الفصل الثاني، فقد تناول الكاتب الجماعة المؤمنة وخصوصياتها في إطار النظام الكوني، والحال الذي يجب أن تكون عليه في الدعوة الخاتمة، وضرورة انتظامها في إطار كيان سياسي له سماته القيمية والحضارية المتناسقة مع مسارات الفطرة الإنسانية وفطرة المخلوقات الأخرى ومن بينها النظام الكوني، وأخيراً وظيفتها التغييرية والتصحيحية داخل الإجتماع البشري. وخصص الفصل الثالث والأخير لمنظومة الردع بكل أبعادها وأطواقها، وفي هذا الفصل تتكشف للقارىء أنظمة الحماية التي سخّرها الله تعالى لعباد المؤمنين المكلفين بما يمكن اعتباره أسمى المهام الإنسانية والكونية ... ليكون المؤمنون شهداء الله ومنارات تستلهم البشرية منهم روح القيم؛ إيماناً وعملاً.
