قد يتوهم الناس قبل قراءة هذا الكتاب، أنهم سيجدون فيه قضايا كانت قد عرضت على المحاكم الإسلامية، ثم صدر الحكم فيها، وينتهي الأمر عند هذا الحد فقط، كلا… فالكتاب على خلاف ذلك إذ إنه يحتوي على وقائع وقصص دارت جميعها حول أمور قضائية مختلف فيها بين الفقهاء من حيث العمل به أو عدم الجواز بالحكم به وهو الحكم بالقرائن والأمور الدالة على اكتشاف الجرائم. جميع هذه القصص والجرائم ساقها المؤلف بأسلوب أدبي شيق وجذاب حيث أنه يعرض الحادثة أو الواقعة عرضاً مفصلاً ومركزاً مستوعباً جوانبها المختلفة، ممهدا لها، ملماً بظروفها المرافقة، وأسبابها الملجئة، وتداعياتها جميعاً، وبعد ذلك ينتقل إلى تفصيل الحكم الذي أصدره القاضي، محللاً إياه إلى حيثيات ومنطلقات وموجودات، ويتم ذلك بأسلوب القاضي المتمرس، إذ إن المؤلف هو قاضي قديم عمل في السلك القضائي التونسي لسنين طويلة، مما زاد في خبرته ومعلوماته، وكتابه هذا لا يقتصر على تقديم المعلومات والحوادث، وإنما هو مادة قانونية تمّمها المؤلف للمناقشة ومقارنة سياقها ليرد من خلالها على الذين يأنفون من أحكام الإسلام، مفنداً شبهاتهم التي يوردونها وهدفه إثبات أصالة الشريعة الإسلامية الخالدة وقواعدها الأصولية.
القارئ لهذا الكتاب هو أمام موسوعة قضائية فخمة، فيها التنظيم القضائي والنتائج المستخلصة، والتحريات الدقيقة، والاستقراء الأمني، والتحقيق الجنائي، والأحكام المتوازنة، وغير ذلك مما هو كثير وممتع في هذا النطاق والسياق، هذا وقد الحق الكتاب بتحقيق لطيف، وتجلى عمل المحقق بـ أولاً: تخريج الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية الشريفة، مشيراً إلى مضامينها. ثانياً: شرح بعض الكلمات القانونية الصعبة مع بعض التعليقات الهامة عليها، ثالثاً: وضع ترجمة لمعظم الأعلام الذين ورد ذكرهم مع وضع فهارس عامة للآيات القرآنية، والآيات القرآنية الكريمة، والأحاديث النبوية الشريفة والأعلام ومن ثم الموضوعات.
