تم إنجاز الطبعة الأولى عام 2007، ولكنها لم ترسل إلى الفروع التي طلبت إقتنائها لأسباب تقنية إلا في بداية عام 2008، وفق العهد الذي التزمت به بعدم جواز بيع الطبعة الاولى، إلا عن طريق فروع النقابة ويسعر التكلفة، إلا أن الظروف الخاصة لعدد غير قليل من الفروع، حالت دون إقتناء الطبعة الأولى، وهذا ما أدى بدوره إلى عدم طباعة اكبر من ألفي نسخة من تلك الطبعة.
مما لا شك فيه أن إقتناء هذا المؤلف يسهل للزميل المحامي ويغنيه عن الرجوع إلى الأعداد التي نشرت تلك المقالات لا سيما وأن معظمها فُقد أو أصبح العثور عليه عسيراً، ونتيجة للطلب المتزايد من الزملاء المحامين بضرورة إعادة طباعة هذا المؤلف وجعله في متداول الراغبين بإقتنائه من خلال المكتبات المنتشرة في أرجاء القطر، كان لا بد من الإستجابة وإعادة الطباعة وجعلها في متناول من يشاء.
يجب أن لا يكون الهدف من إقتناء هذه المجموعة مجرد العلم بما هو كائن من شؤون المهنة، فأنا ما زلت مؤمناً بالهدف من طباعة هذا المؤلف والذي أشرت إليه في مقدمة الطبعة الأولى وقلت عنه: إن هذا الجمع والتنسيق للمقالات التي قيلت عن مهنة المحاماة والعمل النقابي يمكن أن يشكل تاريخاً ومرجعاً للسادة الزملاء لا من أجل أن يكون ما كتبه الأولون هو كل ما نريد وإنما ليكون ذلك أساس نبني عليه، فنزيد بالبناء حتى نشيد للمهنة بناء عظيماً يثبت مكانة المهنة وسموها، ونعيد لها بعضاً مما كسبناه منها.
وليكن هذا المؤلف أساس ينطلق منه الزملاء لإغناء هذه المهنة بأبحاثهم ومقالاتهم، وليتركوا لنا ولمن يأتي من بعدنا علماً وخيراً، أو على الأقل ما يوضح لنا معالم الطريق فلا نموت قبل أن نترك أثراً طيباً وعندها نستحق أن يطلب لنا الرحمة كل من يقرأ ما كتبناه بدلاً عن (قصة الشيخ).
