يعالج الفصل الأول الأحكام العامة المتعلقة بالموضوع من تعريف حجية القضية المحكوم بها، ومفعولها ونطاق تطبيقها والأهمية العملية لها، ومفعولها والأقوال العابرة للمحكمة.
أما الفصل الثاني فيتناول حجية القضية المحكوم بها ثم ينتقل الكتاب إلى معالجة شروط الدفع بحجية القضية المحكوم بها، تقيد القاضي المدني بحجية القضية المحكوم بها، تقيد القاضي المدني بالحكم الجزائي، مدى سلطة القاضي المدني، ومسائل تطبيقية مختلفة حول قانون أصول المحاكمات المدنية وقانون الموجبات والعقود.
أمّا الفصل الثالث فيعالج حجية القضية المحكوم بها جزئياً ضمن شرح مفصّل لشروط حجية القضية المحكوم بها، نطاق حجية الحكم الجزائي ومفعوله، الأحكام الجزائية المختلفة، النيابة العامة وقاضي التحقيق.
