الحسد هو مرض من الأمراض الخطيرة التي يصعب علاجها، وتناول مثل هذا الموضوع يلزم الباحث أن يهتم بتشخيص المرض وأسبابه حتى يسهل علاجه وعرض الأدوية المدافعة والمانعة من انتشاره وهذا ما حدث مع مؤلف هذا الكتاب حيث سعى في بحثه هذا لإظهار حقيقة الحسد وما ورد عن الحسد في القرآن الكريم تصريحاً وتلميحاً وما ورد في السنة النبوية للحبيب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم تناول أسباب المرض ووضع سبل العلاج، وسبل الوقاية مع ذكر أمثلة وقصص تدل على خطورة المرض، ثم تناول إصابة العين وحقيقتها وما تحدثه داخل المجتمع وكيف العلاج منها بالرقية والدعاء وذكر عدداً من الأمثلة للرقية ووسائل العلاج بها، ثم وضع بعضاً من القصص المعبرة عن حقيقة الحسد ونتائجه على الفرد والمجتمع ثم أنهى بحثه بأبيات من الشعر تبين خطورة هذا المرض.
