يتخذ الكلام الوارد عن الأئمة (ع) عدة أشكال فهو: 1- خطب ومواعظ وكلمات 2- أدعية ومناجاة 3- شعر, وهو كبقية الأمور المنسوبة اليهم, منه ما قطع بصدوره, ومنه ما لم يقطع بصدوره, وهو كلام يشتمل على الأمور العقائدية والفكرية ونشر الدين, والفضائل الأخلاقية والحديث عن رسول الله (ص) يقول " إن من الشعر لحكماً وإن من البيان لسحر" فكيف يشعر آل محمد وهم البلغاء والحكماء والفصحاء فهذا الكتاب جمع الشعر المنسوب الى الأئمة (ع) بأسلوب موضوعي "لا على ما هو المتعارف" تسهيلاً للإطلاع على الموضوعات الموجودة فيه.
