Book Description
ابن بطوطة هو محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن إبراهيم اللواتي الطنجي، أبو عبد الله، ابن بطوطة، رحالة ومؤرخ.
ولد ابن بطوطة في طنجة، سنة 703هـ الموافق 1304م، ونشأ فيها، وخرج منها سنة 725هـ، فطاف بلاد المغرب، ومصر، والشام، والحجاز، والعراق، وفارس، واليمن، والبحرين، وتركستان، وما وراء النهر، وبعض الهند، والصين، والجارة، وبلاد التتار، وأواسط إفريقية.
واتصل بكثير من الملوك والأمراء، فمدحهم، وكان ينظم الشعر، واستعان بهباتهم على أسفاره، وعاد إلى المغرب الأقصى، فانقطع إلى السلطان أبي عنان، من ملوك بني مرين، فأقام في بلاده، وأملى أخبار رحلته على (محمد بن جزي) الكلبي بمدينة فاس سنة 756هـ وسماها: تحفة النظار في غرائب الأمصار وعجائب الأسفار والتي نحن بصددها.
وقد ترجمت هذه الرحلة إلى عدة لغات منها: الإنكليزية، والفرنسية، والبرتغالية، ونشرت بها، كما ترجمت فصول منها إلى اللغة الألمانية، ونشرت أيضاً.
كان ابن بطوطة يجيد ويحسن اللغة التركية، واللغة الفارسية، وقد استغرقت رحلته (27) سنة من عام 1325-1352م.
وبالعودة لمتن كتابه هذا نجده قد اختار بأمرين أساسيين: الأول: أورد ابن بطوطة في كتابه أسماء كثير من الأئمة، والعلماء، والشعراء، والملوك، والأمراء، وهذا من أساس رحلته. الثاني: كذلك أورد أسماء البلاد والبقاع والقرى التي زارها، ومكث فيها، أو مر بها مرور الكرام، وهذا الموضوع أصل الكتاب.
لهذا أدلى المحقق "محمد عبد الرحيم" اهتماماً بضبط هذه الأماكن بالشكل من جهة وتعرفها من جهة أخرى.
كذلك شرح بعض الكلمات والمفردات العربية للتيسير فقط وليس للاستطالة.
ولقد حذف من الكتاب صفحة واحدة هي الصفحة رقم (96) من أصل الكتاب، ذلك أن هذه الصفحة قد تثير النعرات عند الغير. فمن الأمانة العلمية أن أشير إلى هذا الأمر.
