يوجين يفتوشينكو: ليس غريباً عن المشهد العربي.
فهو معروف لدى القارىء سماعاً على الأقل كأحد أهم شعراء روسيا الكبار ومن ألمع شعراء العالم المعاصرين. ترجمت أشعاره إلى لغات كثيرة واستمعت إليه جماهير غفيرة اثناء تجواله في خارطة العالم والشعر وتناقلت آراءه وكالات الأنباء باعتباره شاعراً كبيراً وذا جرأة على الجهر بما كان مسكوتاً عنه في مجتمعه الإشتراكي، إلى حد أنه قُدم في الغرب بصورة مخالفة لوجهه الحقيقي، أنكرها هو نفسه: "يريدون أن يجعلوا مني شخصية مستقلة منفصلة فيما يبدو كبقعة مضيئة عن العمق الرمادي للمجتمع السوفييتي". واستطاع فعلاً، كشاعر متفرد ومتمرد، أن يحافظ على "شخصية خاصة" وأن يعبّر في الوقت ذاته "عما هو مشترك بين جميع الناس" و "أن ينقل في قصائده أنفاس الآخرين" ولكن "دون أن ينفي أناه" في الحياة كما في الكتابة.
وبذلك أحيا في ذاكرة الناس سلفه مايكوفسكي بقامته الشعرية المديدة والعملاقة ونظرته الثورية الحادة والشزراء وقدرته الفنية المذهلة على هدي الذوق العام المتخم بالبالي من التقاليد التي تكبح جماح القصيدة العنيدة عن الإنطلاق في سهوب الإبداع الخلاق التي ليس لها تخوم. ولذلك كذلك، عد يفتوشينكو، عن جدارة واستحقاق، في وقت من الأوقات على الأقل، الصوت الجديد والعنيد، في عموم الإتحاد السوفييتي والعالم، والذي لو قيل عنه إنه ملأ الدنيا وشغل الناس لما كان في ذلك أدنى مجازفة أو تهويل.
ولم يحلّق في سماء الشعر وحدها بل له جولات وصولات في السجال النقدي والصحافي والنزال الثقافي والنضال السياسي كثيراً ما كانت تثير زوبعة من الجدل الذي لا يهدأ له أوار. ودخل أيضاً إلى أضواء الشاشة الكبيرة كنجم سينمائي، وكان على وشك أن يصير نجماً رياضياً في كرة القدم كحارس مرمى ..
