تبقى هذه المجموعة القصصية من بين المجامع القريبة إلى كياني لحد اللحظة، ولها مكانة خاصة تأسر شغاف الخاطر، بطابعها الواقعي الذي يحاكي المعيش اليومي بتفاصيله الصادمة، وجرأتها الحادة التي تستنطق الحجر، وقوتها المعادية التي تدخر كلاشنكوفات محشوة برسائل طاعنة. وإذا كنت قد تأسفت على كتابة "سمفونية العري" لطابعها الماجن المائع، تحت ظروف طائشة، منسابة من لحظة تفكر وتمعن زائغة، أغرقتني في إسهابات إيروتيكية مملة، خلفت انتقادات قاسية حاسبت جموح قلمي الذي أسرف في وصف مشاهد ماجنة، بدون إدراك المنتقد للبياض بإمعان، فإن هذه المجموعة حاولت أن تكفر عن أخطاء المجموعة الفاسقة ببلورتها لوعي جديد أثمرته قراءات متعددة وهامة، كما حاولت أيضا أن تمتطي صهوة التجريب وتلجم نوعًا جديدًا من الكتابة التي لا يستطيع القارئ أن يفرق فيها بين القصة والمقالة، وإذا جاز التعبير يمكن أن أصنفها "قصة مقالة" وأحيانا أخرى تبدو كما لو كانت رواية. فالمجموعة كما يشير العنوان عبارة عن نقد لاذع لتعسف الطبقية، ولهمجية مجموعة من التفاصيل اليومية التي يعاني في بحبوحتها المواطن المقهور في زمن الدم والحرب والفقر الذي يطال الشعوب العربية.
