Book Description
يحتوي هذا الكتاب على سبعة فصول تتناول المسائل الآتية:
يعالج الفصل الأول الكيفية والآليات العامة لإنتاج المعرفة العلمية والنبى الداخلية لهذه المعرفة، مع التركيز على علاقة المعرفة مع الجدل (الديالكتيك).
أما الفصل الثاني فيعالج طبيعة الوجود الاجتماعية وعلاقته مع الفكر ومع الأحداث التاريخية والثقافية. وتشكل هذه المعالجة أساساً لمناقشة مفهوم التقدم كما تبلور تاريخياً في العصر الحديث وذلك في الفصل الثالث.
ويتناول الفصل الرابع خصوصية العلاقة التي تربطنا مع العرب بدلالة الطابع اللانهائى الذي تتسم به الحضارة الغربية الحديثة، والذي يستلزم ممارسة ما أسميه "الاستغراب" وهو نقيض الاستشراق في التعامل الثقافي مع الغرب وحضارته. ويناقش الفصل الخامس مسألة التثقيف العلمي في الوطن العربي بوصفه بعداً أساسياً من أبعاد الاستغراب ومهمة أساسية من مهمات التحرر القومي. ويوجه الفصل السادس نقداً للتصورات الإمبريقية والوضعية للمعرفة من منظور الواقعية الفاليلية (نسبة إلى غاليليو) المنسجمة في جوهرها مع منظور حركة التحرر القومى وذلك الاستعانة بجدلية الفيلسوف المجري غي ورغ لوكاتش. ويتناول الفصل السابع مسألة الالتزام التاريخي في الممارسة الفكرية وعلاقة النضال الاجتماعي مع إنتاج المعرفة وبنيتها، وذلك ارتكاز إلى مثال نضالي ساطع هو الانتفاضة.
