هذا كتاب فلسفي، بالمعنى الفني المهني للكلمة. لكنه مضمخ بالهموم السياسية العملية في كل ركن من أركانه، وكل جملة من جمله. إنه ينبع من قلب الهم السياسي العملي ويعود إليه مهما حلّق في سماء التجريد العقلي. فهو ينبري لحل إشكالات فلسفية تنبع من قلب حركة التحرر العالمي المناهضة للرأسمالية العالمية المعولمة، وتعوق تقدمها. فالهدف المعلن لهذا الكتاب هو نقد العقل الثوري المناهض للرأسمالية من أجل المساهمة في إزالة معوقات حركة التحرر العالمي. ومن أجل إعادة بناء العقل الثوري ورد الاعتبار إليه في مجابهة طغيان السوق والدولة الرأسمالية والمؤسسات الرأسمالية المعولمة. ويتمحور الكتاب حول مفهوم الجدل بهدف حل الإشكالات الفلسفية من خلال أجزائه الثلاثة. الجزء الأول، وهو بعنوان "علم الجدل"، فهو يؤسس فلسفياً لمفهوم الجدل المادي عبر الغوص نقدياً في التراث الفلسفي الماركسي (ماركس، إنغلز، لينين، لوكاتش، كورش، غرامشي، مدرسة فرانكفورت، سارتر، لوتشيو كوليتي، ألتوسير)، وفي فلسفة التاريخ لدى كل من هيغل وماركس. الجزء الثاني، وهو بعنوان "جدل العلم"، الجدل كما يتمظهر في علمي الطبيعة والاجتماع. ويبدأ بنقد الوضعية من منظور تاريخاني مادي جدلي (منظور لينين تحديداً). ويتناول الجزء الثالث، الذي يحمل عنوان "نقد العقل الغربي"، الفلسفة الأوروبية الحديثة من منظورات قوى الإنتاج المادي، وعلم الطبيعة، والعلمنة.
