ولكن في هذا الكتاب يبدو كاداريه الآخر السياسي كما لا نعرفه في العربية، وذلك بالاستناد إلى تحليل رواياته التي لم تترجم بعد إلى العربية وتحليل تلك المترجمة في ضوء الخلفية الثقافية السياسية في ألبانيا.
الكتاب يركّز على موقع كاداريه في النظام الشيوعي السابق، وعلاقته مع مجايليه من الكتّاب، ورؤيته للعلاقة بين الشرق والغرب بحكم موقع وتراث ألبانيا بعد حوالي 500 سنة من الحكم العثماني.
