(الأمر بين الأمرين) كتاب يضم مجموعة بحوث في أصول الفقه للشهيد (السيد محمد الصدر) يقدمها الشيخ "علي سميسم" لما فيها من فوائد ذكرها الصدر في كثير من المسائل في منهج الأصول وهي تشير إلى أمرين مهمين كما يقول: الأول: تفرد الصدر بمصطلح مهم في تاريخ علم أصول الفقه، ألا وهو (الإيهام التكويني)، الثاني: عرض أهم نظريات الصدر ألا وهي (نظرية الإرادة الحرة)، وهي المختارة من بين نظريات البحث.
توزَع الكتاب على أربعة فصول: جاء الفصل الأول في: بيان الربط بين مسألتي (الطلب والإرادة)، و(الجبر والتفويض) لبيان مدى العلاقة بينهما. ثم الفصل الثاني: في بيان نظرية الجبر، والفصل الثالث: في بيان نظرية التفويض، أما الفصل الرابع فقسم إلى مباحث: المبحث الأول: عرض الأطروحات المحتملة للأسباب القهرية، المبحث الثاني: عرض الأطروحات المحتملة للأفعال الاختيارية، والمبحث الثالث: في تطبيق أطروحات الكتاب وبيان ثبوتها ومتانتها من شتى الوجوه. كذلك تضمن الكتاب في كل فصل من فصوله مناقشات، وأجوبة للوصول إلى ما هو أسمى في هذا العلم.
