تطلق بعض الألسنة من عقالها لتطال الكثير من صحابة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم, فما توجيه القرآن الكريم بحقهم رضوان الله عليهم؟ وما توجيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نحوهم؟ ويجاوب هذا الكتاب عن مجموعة من التساؤلات التي تخطر في بال المسلم: من هو الصحابي؟ وتعداد الصحابة وطبقاتهم وعدالتهم, وموقف المسلم اليوم وغدا مما جرى بينهم من اختلاف. وهل حب آل البييت يعني بغض الصحابة بالضرورة, دون النظر إلى ما ورد في حقهم في كتاب الله المجيد, والسنة الشريفة؟ أم هناك ميزان دقيق يجعل الطرفين في مكانة رفيعة, ولا تعارض في حب الطرفين واحترامهمامعا, وإنزال كل طرف منزلته الكريمة التي أوصتنا بها الآيات القرآنية الكريمة, والزامنا بها الشريعة المطهرة؟ صفوة خلق الله تعالىو بسواعدهم فتحت الأصقاع, وانتشر الإسلام, لذلك قال الإمام علي كرم الله وجهه بحقهم: والله لقد رأيت أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فما أرى اليوم شيئا يشبههم, لقد كانوا يصبحون صفرا شعثا غبرا. قد باتوا لله سجدا وقياما, يتلون كتاب الله, يتراوحون بين جباههم وأقدامهم, فإذا أصبحوا فذكروا الله ما دوا كما يميد الشجر في يوم الريح, وهملت أعينهم حتى تبتل ثيابهم, اولئك الصفوة من البشر.. فإلى مكانة الصحابة و فضائلهم.
