لا بد لكل حادثة فكرية عند كل أمة من الاعتماد على الأصالة الحضارية وتتمثل هذه الأصالة في بعض التراث العربي، لأنه واجب في خضم الحداثة، وكل حداثة تفتقد هذا العنصر، فإنها لا بد لها من أن تتلاشى لأنها قامت على غير دعائم الأصالة التراثية. نقول هذا في معرض حديثنا عن واحد من كتب التراث العربي، وهو (الأنباء المستطابة في مناقب الصحابة والقرابة) لابن سيد الكل أحد أعلام القرن السابع الهجري.
قد نتساءل عن أهم البواعث التي حثت هذا المفكر على العودة إلى التراث العربي في فجر الإسلام وضحاه، ليحدثنا عن مناقب الصحابة والقرابة، ثم يستطرد بعد ذلك لذكر الصحابة العشرة المبشرين بالجنة، وذكر القرابة من آل البيت رضوان الله عليهم، ويشفع ذلك كله بذكر مناقب الخلفاء الراشدين الأربعة أبي بكر وعمر وعثمان وعلي.
يخلص المؤلف من ذلك كله ليحدثنا عن الأمة الإسلامية، ذاكراً فضلها على الأمم كلها، وهذا هو هدف المؤلف من ذكر المناقب الخاصة ليفرد المناقب العامة، فيذكر فضائل الأمة الإسلامية.
إن منهج المؤلف يهدف إلى التأكيد أننا خير أمة أخرجت للناس، بدءاً بالمناقب العربية التي أصلّها الرسول الأعظم عليه الصلاة والسلام، وأثلته الشريعة الإسلامية السمحة من خلال كتاب الله عز وجل.
