في هذا الكتاب يجمع الشيخ "علي سميسم" فتاوى السيد "محمد الصدر" في المسائل الحديثة التي اندرجت في رسالته (منهج الصالحين) وكتابه (فقه الفضاء) وهي في مجموعها تشتمل على فقه السيد الصدر في موضوعات حديثة كما يشير إلى ذلك عنوان الكتاب.
يضم الكتاب (1277) فتوى من فتاوى السيد الصدر وزعها المصنف على سته أبواب: الأول في (علوم الحياة) مثل: علم الفلسجة والهندسة الوراثية، وعلم الدوائيات وعلم الطبيعة وعلم البيئة، وعلوم الفلك والهيئة والحساب. أما الباب الثاني فجاء في (الطبيعيات) مثل: الفيزياء والكيمياء، والحيوان والنبات، والتطور التكنولوجي، ثم الباب الثالث وجاء في (الفضاء والخيال العلمي) والباب الرابع في( الاقتصاد) ويشمل: السياسة المالية والنقدية، وعلم المصارف، ويليه الباب الخامس في (القانون المدني) ويضم فتاوى في "ديات الأعضاء" وفيه مقاصد أربعة: المقصد الأول في: دية القطع، الثاني في: دية الكسر والرضى ونحوهما، والثالث: في ديات الجناية على منافع الأعضاء، والمقصد الرابع في: ديات الشجاج والجراح. ويأتي الباب السادس والأخير في (الاجتماع واللغة) ويضم مباحث في: علم الصرف، والعلوم العسكرية مثل: المرابطة، الأسارى، الدفاع، المهادنة، وقتال أهل البغي...
