ما الذي يبرر إختيار مسألة "الحداثة وإستبعاد الآخر" من خلال مؤلف "تاريخ الجنون" لميشال فوكو"؟.
لقد آلينا على أنفسنا الحياد عن كلّ إجابة جاهزة على سؤال يفترض كثيراً من الدقة والتوضيح، وفي تقديرنا إنّ كل إجابة متسرعة على هكذا سؤال، إنّما هي إجابة غير رصينة وهي في تقديرنا، طموح غير مستساغ لتبرير إختيار لا نعلم من ملامح موضوعه، سوى بنية اللفظ الظّاهر، فكيف لنا ونحن لا نعرف بعد، ما دلالات الموضوع ولا نملك منه ونحن على عتباته إلاّ إستفزاز المدهش والملغز أن نبرر إختيارنا له؟.
تلافيا لتلك المعاثر، استعضنا عن الإجابة الجاهزة بالمباشرة الفعلية للسؤال، المباشرة الداخلية للموضوع عازمين على الحلول في صميمه وجوهره لا خارجه.
ولأن عملنا ينسلك في هذا السياق - ودون إدعاء يسر التناول - لجأنا في البدء إلى السؤال عن المعنى، تركيزاً على دلالات المبحث إننا في حاجة إلى التساؤل حول كل ما اعتبر عظيماً في العصر الحديث: فما الذي نفهم أولاً من مسألة الحداثة، وإستبعاد الآخر؟ حين "لم يعد العقل في تمظهره الغربي يقر إلا المتجانس ويبعد اللامتجانس، يقر كل ما هو سوي، يستجيب للقواعد والقوانين التي وضعها، ويستبعد اللاسوي الذي لا يستقيم وتلك القواعد".
ذلك أن المبالغة في إجلال العقل على حساب الجنون تفضي إلى جملة من الإحراجات الخطيرة: فما هي الدلالات التي يفجرها نص الموضوع؟ وكيف خلخلت فكرة الإختلاف والغيرية أركان المعقولية الغربية؟ وكأن أن أعادت النظر في رهانات الحداثة؟.
إننا نباحث هاهنا عن تهيؤ تصبح معه إمكانية التفكير في نصوص فوكو علامات مضيئة لتلمس الطريق نحو الحداثة، لا بعناوينها بل بسياقاتها القوية وإقتدارها على توليد إحراجات جديدة.
