يحاول هذا الكتاب أن يتذوق بيان أمير الكلام من خلال دعاء الصباح، وهو دعاء مشهور ينسب لأمير الإيمان علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام، أثبته العلامة المجلسي في بحار أنواره في كتابي الصلاة والدعاء، رواه عن كتاب الاختيار للسيد بن الباقي. وعدم امتداد السند في الدعاء مع علو اعتباره ومتانة متنه ومعالي معانيه وخفقه بالنبض القرآني وبنفس البيت النبوي فيه، يؤكد أن هذا الدعاء كنز من كنوز آل محمد ووثيقة من هدي النبوة مهربة من عمق التاريخ، مبثوثة على موجة خفية جداً يجيد أهل الأدب والإيمان التقاطها وتفكيكها وتحسسها والتعمق في حقائقها.
