يسعى كتابنا الموسوم بــ "تجلّيات نظريّة العنوان – تأويل قرائيّ في مدوّنة سعدي المالح السرديّة" إلى مقاربة عتبة العنوان بوصفها نظرية متكاملة الأبعاد، صارت اليوم واحدة من أهم مقاربات الدرس النقدي الحديث للنصوص الأدبية الحديثة (والقديمة أحياناً)، إذ نادراً ما نجد دراسة نقدية حديثة لا تأتي بشكل أو آخر على قضية العتبات النصية عموماً، وعتبة العنوان منها على نحو خاص، إذ هي عتبة تنويرية تجتهد في إضاءة عتمة النص مثلما يسهم النص في إزالة عتمتها بصورة جدلية تتداخل فيها ثريا العنوان مع طبقات المتن النصي، على طريق توفير أفضل فرصة قراءة ممكنة.
يكتسب هذا الموضوع أهميته البحثية من خلال طبيعة الإنتشار الواسع لعتبة العنوان بوصفها عتبة مركزية لا بد من قراءتها في أية دراسة نقدية للنصوص الأدبية.
ومن هنا، كان السبب وراء اختيار هذا الموضوع في كتابنا، من أجل أن يسهم الكتاب مع الكتب الأخرى التي اشتغلت على الموضوع نفسه في إلقاء الضوء الكافي على حقل نقدي له مثل هذه الأهمية في الدرس النقدي الحديث.
إن العنوان في كل النصوص الأدبية (حديثها وقديمها) ينطوي على حالات إثارة وتحدٍ وإغراء وتسويق، إثارة للقارئ، وتحدّ لممكناته القرائية، وإستفزاز لرؤيته حول النص، وإغراء له لإقتناء الكتاب والدخول في طبقاته، ومن ثم ينطوي أيضاً على أهمية تسويقية على مستوى توزيع الكتاب، بحيث أن الكثير من دور النشر تقترح أحياناً على المؤلف أن يغير أجزاء من عنوان كتابه كي يستجيب له السوق، ولا سيما إذا كانت هذه الدور الناشرة لها خبراء ثقافيين في التسويق والنشر والتوزيع.
