ولما كان للصبر هذه الأهمية فقد اعتنى البرفسور طلال طرفة بوضع دراسة التحليلية التي بين أيدينا والتي يقدم فيها رؤية شاملة لموضوع الصبر ولمفهومه في الدين الإسلامي الحنيف، ولعلاقته بالعقيدة الإسلامية، ولفلسفته متخذاً في دراسته نماذج واقعية لأشخاص امتحنهم الله في حياتهم فلم يكفروا وإنما تحلوا بالصبر ومن هؤلاء النبي أيوب، السيدة فاطمة الزهراء، الأنبياء إسماعيل وإدريس وذو الكفل عليهم السلام.
