وعليه راح العالم العربي يتراجع وينكمش على كل صعيد، على الرغم من توافر إمكانات النهوض والإصلاح والتغيير.
يشتمل هذا الكتاب على مجموعة من الرؤى والأفكار والتحليلات لقضيتين أساسيتين من قضايا الصراع التاريخية والسياسية، ازدادت حدَّة تعقيداتهما بفعل عوامل متشابكة؛ تتمثل القضية الأولى في الصراع العربي - الإسرائيلي، وفي الوجود الإسرائيلي وهيمنته على بقعة واسعة من الأرض العربية، وإحتلالها وتغيير معالمها الجغرافية والديمغرافية عبر سياسة الضم والتهويد والإلغاء للمعطيات الطبيعية والسياسية في المنطقة، وهي سياسة تسترشد بالرؤى الصهيونية الإستعمارية التلمودية تجاه الآخر إذابة وإفناءً، فضلاً عن إستثمارها للتحولات السياسية والصراعات الناشئة في المنطقة العربية، وفي كافة أرجاء العالم.
أما القضية الثانية فتتمثل في السياسة الأميركية التي تقوم على خلق نظام عالمي يقوم على السيطرة في السياسة والإقتصاد والثقافة، إن توسيع الفرص أمام رأس المال والشركات الكبرى لدى الولايات المتحدة أهم من توسيع آفاق الديمقراطية، ويبدو ذلك جلياً في مواقفها السياسية الداعمة دون شروط لإسرائيل، ومن مواقفها الخادعة للعرب والفلسطينيين في أغلب الأحيان، يساعدها في ذلك فريق من المستشارين السياسيين الذين يشغلون العالم العربي بوعود وتطمينات مع كل موجة إنتخابات أميركية.
